On Marriage – How to Have a Healthy Marriage

Christian Parents Network Articles about Marriage

God's promises will be there for your healthy marriage

We are sure that you can succeed in having a healthy marriage.  There are many faithful and true promises in Scripture that you can claim as your own.  We’ve seen God’s blessing in our own lives for over 30 years of married life.  God’s watches over those who read the Bible and seek him.  One of my favorite verses is in Psalm 1 which clearly states that if we meditate on God’s Word day and night we shall be like a tree planted by a river whose leaves will be immune from the withering effects of drought even in the hottest weather.  No matter how “hot” life gets for you, if you meditate on God’s Word your life will always be fruitful and blessed!

Psalm 1:1-6  1 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.  4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
